Fire Station 2 is located at 315 Livingston Street. The "Deuce" is home toEngine 2 (2000 Central States 1250 gpm pumper) and the shift Deputy Fire Marshall (FM10).Haz-Mat operations are also conducted from Two with the Regional Response Vehicle (RRT6). All reserve apparatus are also quartered at the "Deuce".
Fire Station 2 was originally located on Bartlett Street and was the last of the Fire Houses that operated horse drawn apparatus.The dorm was the original stables. Operations were moved to the present station in the early 1970’s.
Along with Haz-Mat responsibilities, E-2 also is first in at the massive Mission-St Josephs Hospital system , several large apartment complexes and is second-due engine in most of the central business district.
